Dia Vestido
Dia passed away on April 2, 2011. He spent his last day with us while on duty with the Flathead County Sheriff’s Posse at the Creston Auction. Dia started showing signs of colicking. We took him to the vet right away, but other complications developed. Dia was very brave and he was in so much pain that euthanasia was the only humane decision. Dia, your soft eyes will be missed.
Dia was an older chestnut Thoroughbred Gelding. Previously a racehorse, Dia was a horse of many trades. He was Parelli Level one trained and an excellent trail horse. Dia was also very experienced in equestrian jumping and with refresher training could have been a beginning jumper again. Dia was our baby-sitter and looked after the new foals and made new editions to the farm feel welcome. Dia stood at 16 hands and had great conformation making him the classy man on campus.
